The focus of our language classes is on using the language in real life, improving fluency and understanding. The material used in class incorporates realistic dialogues, contemporary topics, excellent audio, grammar and vocabulary content. We supplement the course book with internet clips of film, music, culture, poetry, travel, literature etc. suitable for the level of the class.

HLC prides itself on making classes stimulating and sociable as well as ensuring effective learning.
It becomes like a family with our personal touch! Classes are now hybrid delivery - a mix of face to face and online.
We can also prepare students for internationally recognised language exams such as DELE, DELF and Cambridge ESOL. We also offer tuition for school language study, including Higher.

Course Timetable
The academic year runs from September to May and is divided into 10-week blocks.
We have similar holiday dates to schools and colleges.
Classes range from A1 Beginner to B2+ High intermediate/ Advanced
We mostly offer evening language classes Monday to Thursday but can also offer morning and afternoon classes if there is viable demand.
Here is a snapshot of a few of the classes on offer.
Spaces fill fast as there is a maximum of 12 per group.

Monday: Upper Internediate/ threshold Advanced B2+ 6.30-8 pm
Tuesday: C1 Advanced French 5.30- 7pm
Tuesday: 7-8.30pm Continuing Beginners French A1/2
Wednesday: B1 Intermediate French 6.30-8 pm
Thursday: A1 False Beginners French 5.30-7pm
